THE CHOICE CURRICULUM
Jasmine Road is an organization that helps adult survivors of human trafficking, prostitution and addiction.
In order to understand the difficult choices these women are forced to face, we produced an interactive experience that put the audience into the shoes of actual survivors. Based on true experiences, the journey is ultimately shaped by the audience’s choices.

The reality is, for many women, the distance between
"I WOULD NEVER DO THAT"
and
"WELL... WHAT CHOICE DO I HAVE?"
is shorter than we think.
AS DAKOTA,
a 20-year-old high school drop out, recently kicked out of her parent's house, the audience was asked through live polling to make decisions on where you'll go, what you'll do, or how you'll survive.
Once a choice is made, it can't be taken back - no matter the consequences. Every branch of the curriculum is an experience a real Jasmine Road resident has had to overcome.
And at every turn of the story, the audience would decide on how they'd make the "best" out of a "bad situation."
IT'S NEVER AS SIMPLE AS IT SEEMS
The experience was designed to showcase the no-choice, choices that these survivors have had to face. And as hard as the audience tries to outsmart the experience, it's never as simple as it seems.
