In 2019, ANGOSTURA®, a brand celebrated worldwide for renowned aromatic and orange bitters, was ready to announce a new flavor: cocoa bitters. Our team was asked to design and launch the new product.
Grown in Trinidad and rooted in richness, we took inspiration from the island itself.

We kept the iconic oversized label alive, but with added shades of rich brown to convey the cocoa flavor experience.
On top, the purple cap takes cues from the deep, rich colors of an actual Trinitario cocoa pod, while hand-drawn illustrations, in reflective gold foil, hero the cocoa pod itself.
Includes print ads for the initial ANGOSTURA® cocoa bitters launch as well as ads for aromatic and orange bitters.
